Sunday March 29th, 2009 Be Careful with Advice!

19. Listen now to me and I will give you some advice, and may God be with you. You must be the people's representative before God and bring their disputes to him.

I am going to focus on the first part of this verse.

For more info, I suggest opening up your Bible and reading the previous few verses. this is Jethro talking to Moses. Now Moses was judging the Israelite's every single day, hearing their disputes and passing judgment. what Moses said was what happened.

Now Jethro said the above words and it has to make you stop and think. Jethro went up to Moses and said "Listen to what I have to say and may God be with you." He is basically saying "I have this advice for you, God is going to bless you for listening to my advice."

Make sure when you give advice all your advice is Godly. If your advice is thought about and has the wisdom from the Lord, Both you and the person you are giving the advice to will be blessed. Just maek sure it is God centric!
