Recruitment Thread.

OK now that the server queues are down it is time to start recruiting! We have done some recruiting in game, but we need to hit all the main sites and list the guild information as well as the guild recruitment forums.

As we post I will add the list of sites here so we can check back and bump them.

Here is the final draft of the long version.

“Hear ye! Hear ye! Fellow citizens of Telara, Rifts attack us from everywhere and in this fight every able body is called upon! Are you a master of the arcane arts? Are you strong like an Ox? Are you nimble like a Jaguar? Are you gifted in healing the wounded? You are needed in this fight! This fight for Telara's survival!

The Gods have gifted us with rebirth, we have new life as the Ascended! Now we come to fight and we will surely win this war!”

Introducing <Reborn> a Christian Guild on the RP-PVP-server, Sunrest. We fight for the Guardian faction and we strive to enjoy Rift in every way that we can. We are not a roleplay-required guild, although some of us may enjoy that aspect of gaming. We will be active in all aspects of gameplay, especially the open-world pvp that our type of server promotes!

We are seeking other like-minded Christian Gamers to join us as we defend Telara from the Rifts and the misguided Defiant.

<Reborn> is part of a much larger group of Christian Gamers from the Tribe of Judah (link) and the Lions of Judah (link). Together, ToJ and LoJ have over 3,000 members active in many games and genres, ranging from WoW to League of Legends. Across 14 different games our members have enjoyed time together in respectful mature groups, which maintain a family friendly environment and have fun.

Good to see recruiting happening. There was a guy the other night on with the name johncalvin. I think spurgeon was chatting with him.

Thread Bumping in the Guild Forums
We understand that all guilds will want to keep their guild recruitment threads active and visible in the Guild Forums, and that's fine, but we do ask that you refrain from posting "bump" posts.

Per our Rules of Conduct, "bump" post are not allowed, and we will be removing them. The reason for this is that "bump" posts are considered spam since they do not add anything constructive or meaningful to the discussion. Bump posts are defined as posts that are created for the sole reason of bumping a thread, and do actually contribute anything to the discussion. Here is the exact quote from the Rules of Conduct about thread bumping.:


No thread bumps please. Bumping threads adds nothing to the topic at hand, and is discouraged. This also includes petition threads.
This is your one chance to show everyone what your guild is about, so make it count! Instead of posting a "bump" post in your guild recruitment thread, here are some great ways to keep your thread active and visible:

•Post about guild news and events.
•Tell everyone about your recruitment efforts and updates.
•Share some fun facts or history about your guild.
•Have your members post testimonials about your guild.
•Welcome new guild members or announce promotions.
•Post about guild website updates.
•Share anything else you can think of that someone searching for a guild might like to know about you.
