Dead Rising is supposed to pay homage to Dawn of the Dead. The orginial Dawn of the Dead came out in the 70's

I noticed Earlier that lots of people talking about going to see Lady in the Water. I got the chance to watch it and it is one of my Favorite M Night Films. If you have not seen it it IS NOT a scary movie WHAT so ever! I hated how they marketed it. It is more of a Fairy Tale / Fantasy movie. Was very good and GREAT acting.

Boondock Saints - Own it, have seen it many times. My mom wanted to see it, so I brought it to her house and we watched it.

X-Men 3: The Last Stand - Saw it at the theatres the day it came out. Got it for my birthday from my mom, watched it with my cousin.

Casino Royale - Saw it today with my grandpa, and 3 of my cousins.

April Fools Day - My cousin wanted me to watch it, so I did.

Just saw "Happy Feet."

It's an amusing heart-warming tale... but I'd give it two gripes:

1. most of its humor is coupled with some innuendo or other
2. Its storyline is thinly veiled propaganda -- anti-church, pro-hyperenvironmentalism.*

I'd give it 3 out of a possible 5 for entertainment, and 2 out of a possible 5 for gripes.

so out of a possible 10 i'd say 6.

*I specifically didn't mention that it has a lot of subtle pro-homosexuality statements as a negative. I don't think that telling us to be more loving of sinners is evil, but some other people do have issues with anything that is pro-gay so I think it is important that you know that that is in there. On the other hand I do REALLY wish that people could tell us to be more accepting without painting the church as a bunch of double-talking, conniving hypocrites.

I guess it's pretty sad, but the last movie I watched was the final Dragonball Z movie, Wrath of the Dragon, I have Superman returns still sitting unopened on my coffee table, because I never have time to watch movies. I plan on seeing THe GOod Shepherd though.

-The Good Sheperd
I wouldn't recommend this movie, it's depressing, hard to follow, and has several sex scenes. I didn't really like it at all, maybe I just wasn't paying as close of attention, but the only kind of cool part about it is how it shows one legacy (not a good one) being passed on simply by example and human nature. I'm not sure if the average movie goer is going to grasp that concept just from watching this movie though.

I already said what I thought of this movie in that other thread.

-Children of Men
If you don't mind a lot of cussing and violence then this is an awesome movie! I wasn't really interested in seeing this from the trailer, but I went anyway based on the things I was reading about it online and I'm glad I did. It really pulls you in, I think it's the camerawork that does it. Watching this movie makes you feel like you're playing Half-Life 2 but in a good way, you'll have to watch it to see what I mean.
