Anyone interested in creating a 256x256 color spray for Source games?

Here's a tutorial on how to create sprays.

And here's the old spray for Half-Life 1 mods.

It shouldn't be too hard to top that. (And I can say that because I made the HL1 mod color spray.)
 
I don't really "get" the whole spray thing. Like, aren't people busy enough playing the actual game? :confused:;)

Anyways, I can try and take a crack at this, I'm working (sporadically) on a TF2 website design, so I can put this on the burner too. I believe it's also supposed to be 512, not 256? At least that's what this guy does.

He also makes mention that sprays are currently disabled in TF2? I remember seeing them during beta, but I haven't seen them since then.

I was able to use a spray in a game earlier today, but it wasn't very pretty. I don't know why; the color spray was in .BMP formatand the resolution was something like 256x96. It looked pretty in Photoshop, but ugly in-game. :(
