BlazBlue

Hey guys, my friend is over and we were looking for games to rent, so we stumbled upon BlazBlue online, but we saw it has partial nudity.

So my question for you is quite simple, how bad is it really? We all know ESRB ratings can be extremely exaggerated, so was it just a hyperbole or should we be cautious about it? Please reply ASAP!

Thanks for all answers!

Well, there's some cleavage and tight clothing (one cat character has panties showing) during normal fights. The unlockable artwork does have some PG-13 stuff (breast/nipple outlines, mini-skirts), but as for the MAIN game, it's standard fare Japanese style.

IMHO, no. It's something to be aware of, but its by no means porn.

The ESRB usually gives detailed reasoning for their ratings on their web site. I would find, copy, and paste the ESRB description for BlazBlue, but the site doesn't seem to be behaving right now.

"This is a fighting game in which players control one of several 13th century characters from the City of Katugsuchi in one-on-one fight matches. Players punch, kick, and use special attacks against opponents until the other character's health meter is depleted. Each character has individualized special attacks, including sword swipes, gunfire, magic, and electrocution. Characters often react to injury by staggering back with a moan, groan, or strained breath. During fight sequences, some female characters' breasts jiggle, while other characters make sexually suggestive remarks (e.g., "You're as bouncy as always, booby lady."). Suggestive moaning and slurping sounds can be heard briefly during one cutscene. A "Gallery Mode" includes still images of female characters in provocative poses wearing outfits that expose deep cleavage or barely cover their breasts. There are some silhouetted images of a character getting stabbed by a sword as black blood shoots from his body. The game also contains some profanity (e.g., "sh*t," "b*tch," and "a*s") in the dialogue."

Here ya go.
