Here is a high-level job description for those who are interested in leadership for the competition teams;
Team Leader(s); This peron or persons represent the whole competition team. They are responsible for delegating tasks, correspondance with the team, scheduling practice dates and scrims, and ensuring the unity of the competition team. This person is required to be highly motivated and committed to ensure the success of this team. This person will need to remain positive at all times, and present an example of what a great leader is. Lastly, this person will need to act as a recruiter and watch for example players who display potential for competing with the best of the best.
Strategist; This person or person(s) main responsibility is researching, and creating strategies for every map that is used for competition. During gameplay, either the strategist calls the shots, or the strategist can relay the strategy (pre-game) to the team leader who calls the shots. If time permits, the strategist(s) will document their strategies and preferably post them to the website. Screen shots are encouraged as a visual aid. The strategist will need to know the strengths and weaknesses of each of the competition team players (mainly the starters) and assign them their positions accoringly based on their skills or where they feel the player will be most successful. This person will also represent the whole competition team and will need to be an example as well.
Alpha, Bravo Team Leaders; These people are appointed by either the Team Lead and/or Strategist. This position is strictly "in-game". If the map/strategy calls for it, the team as a whole will need to do a split-rush or split-attack. This collaboration requires an Alpha/Bravo/Charlie/Delta team lead for each time the team is split.
Competition Team Members; This person comprises the competition team. This position requires the person to be committed to the team. Other prerequisites required are; excellent communication and listening skills, honesty, and dedication. This person is to have some CS skill, but placement on this team is not based solely on K
ratio. This position also requires you to also be a leader in both competition and public play.
