Three's a charm... or is it?

I woke up this morning and heard running water... thought it was the dishwasher or a toilet or something, went back to sleep and still heard it even after my mom and her boyfriend had left for work... so I got out of bed.

That's when I realized something terrible had happened.

The water heater had failed and was gushing water out its bottom!!!

1/2 of our basement (which is finished and encased my room within it) had been inundated with water; most of the damage was, of course, in my room.

The worst part is since this is our THIRD time having our basement being flooded to some extent, our homeowners insurer said if we were to file a claim they would have to drop us, despite the fact we provided the plumbers inspection (and fixing the problems the plumber proposed) they required after the second flood. So, we cannot file a claim to have someone get rid of possible damaged dry-wall, we are going to have to do it ourselves.

This is my third time dealing with this ordeal. I hate to say it, but I am used to it. However my moms boyfriend is not. He was freaking out as a normal person should.

I ask you guys pray for him, my mom and myself... and our retarded house too I guess.

That might actually be illegal for your insurer to do that. Um, check into that..

no they can drop you for too many claims barring state laws against it..
